Crank up the res, textures, and AA to bring down you frames.
God damn I wish I could run it that good :(
Also have you tried changing your refresh rate. My monitor doesn't like some refresh rates and gets all messed up. Its worth a try.

haha i have everything set to the max and it still does that. refresh rate is as high as i can make it, but it does the same thing at lower refresh rates.
Try disabling vsync.
Put -novsync in your command line in the halo2.exe in your Halo 2 root directory.
yeah its not letting me do that
That seems funny to me because i have a better comp "not that yours isnt awsome because it is" and i cant get my frame rates above or below 60. Well if i turned the graphics way down.
You running 4 sample on the ingame video settings? Maybe that has already been stated but i don't have much time to read.
Make a shortcut of the halo2.exe and go to properties on the shortcut make the directory look like this "c\program files\microsoft games\halo 2\halo2.exe" -novsync
edit: Also sometimes when i start the game up when my cards are on crossfire mode when the game starts i have to go to the video settings and re-select 4-sample than it runs better.
I don't even know if there are any command inputs that works... (I don't think -novsync works...but I haven't tried it).
Well this is in the H2V readme:
-novsync—Advanced switch for users who want better performance.
although that doesn't mean it works :P
There's a readme? Holy crap...
I guess I didn't know that...though there's only four command inputs, that's great.
I tried it out and i recommend it. It does make a difference.
ok ill try doing that again. it didnt let me add -novsync last time though
