Seems like installing the game is worthwhile this time:

Mine got dispatched on Friday, they say to allow 3-5 working days, it might arrive here on Monday :D
Damn looks like I'm deleting my recently installed FIFA 10 game to replace it with Reach :D Thats some crazy speed improvements.
What bugs me about them resetting the credits, okay yes for people that have it ridiculously early (like 2 weeks), but say someone gets a copy legally, on Monday, if they play it they lose everything. I mean okay they still get to play it, but =\Quote:
Anyone playing the game before the title's official release date will have their in-game credits reset on September 14.
In addition, any Credits you earn during this slim pre-Launch window are going to be summarily and systematically reset prior to launch. Don't get too attached to any fancy new gear you might have already acquired. Consider any expenditures or investments you've made in the Armory the cost of doing business early. It's nothing personal; we just want to make sure the playing field is kept nice and level upon launch. It's only fair.'
Not so fast. When you escort your offline profile into the wonderful world of Xbox LIVE, our servers will identify your newly connected status and instantly notify you that our online credit scale operates on a completely different level. (That fizzle sound you're hearing is probably your boosters running out of fuel in an oxygen starved environment. Don't look down, RocketMan.)
Also the whole if you go online, you'll lose alot of credits. That will do my head in, if I want to play a bit of SP on my own, I make up some credits along the way, I realise yay I can get some new armour, I go out and go into MM, and then I lose that armour because my 'online credits' is lower. I agree for people that use it just to rank up, but I think they should allow a fair bit. Kind of ruins the whole purpose of gaining stuff offline.
They're not doing it on the 14, it's already been done. Urk said so in the HaloGAF thread. cba to find, there are so many posts.
They said it in the BWU.

(Tyson also dropped by and wanted us to inform everyone that the Credit wipe we told you about last week has been initiated and that if you've gotten a hold of a legitimate, legally obtained copy of Halo: Reach, please feel free to fire it up and play.)
Review embargos are lifted, scores are in. Big surprise; everybody loves it.
If you're thinking about passing on this, you're running out of excuses.
Honestly, what do you expect reviews to say? There's no such score below an 8 today, and you'll never see any "big" series a score below a 9, no matter how god fucking awful shitty it is (see: Modern Warefare 2).
That said, Reach is a good game. Campaign could have been 30% longer since it was too short and nothing big happened. Otherwise, expect Halo 3 + loadouts - BR = Reach.
My opinion: 7/10. Good game, but still much room for improvement. Keep in mind that IMO, ODST got a 4 and Halo 3 got a 5.
