Yeah, Apple blew it with their tablet. There was so much hype surrounding something that is not much better than a netbook (except its A4 CPU is capable of HD playback). So Jobs, you don't make netbooks do you? Yeah, that's what I thought. Go back to the fantastical land of Apple and Unicorns.
Community had better ideas for the iPad than what Apple could come up with, and most of them were perfectly feasible. If you want a touch tablet using OSX, get one of those custom TouchBook things, or whatever they are called.
E: Or hackintosh an HP Slate.
It's completely and utterly useless. Best browsing experience my ass. It lacks flash. It's a closed system, you can't multitask, relies on the app store.
If I wanted a tablet, I'd get that new HP one which runs a full version of Windows 7, rather than a glorified phone OS.
What is it with Apple and touching things?

I'd be very interested if Google released a 10-12" OLED Nexus One... that would fit a need.
