His response...
TLDR:
Quote:
"I didn't know who that guy at Penny Arcade was," he admitted. "If I had known, I would have treated the situation a little better. PAX is a great show. What he does is what I've been idlolizing since I was a kid. It's admirable he's put that together. He has a lot of connections, ones I want too."
lol what a douche
Well he sure got what was coming to him. Gues goes to show that a single slip-up in customer service can completely destroy a product and the person who was in-charge of the slip-up.
I see this happen in the Canadian airsoft market all the time, a single retailer will be completely destroyed by a single bad exhange. It's a two-edges sword however in this case. It forces all retailers to be exceptional, but it makes opening new outlets extremely daunting.
It's also a pretty common occurance with troublesome individuals at medium to large size gaming events. You'll have a single veteran attendee who gets banned from future events because one new scrub gets on his nerves and he says some things that hurt the scrubs feelings. The scrub complains to the event staff and to keep up a good atmospheric apearence they have to ban the vet so they don't lose newer attendees. I'm lucky enough to be able to attend Fragapalooza where the staff don't give two shits about new people, they have a loyal veteran group at least 200 strong and that's enough to run the even every year.
other than the out of line threats to people not involved, he got alot of what he deserved.
Someone in charge of public relations should not have such a shitty attitude towards customers.
as a guy who works in retail.... Retail is the easiest thing in the world.
if you cant smile and hold a civil conversation, your in the wrong industry.

I blame Frank O'Connor. He's the head-honcho offering those authors a chance to butcher the Halo Legacy.
I blame people who keep stating (in mass numbers) that Halo is dying, or is a cash-cow, or is something causing a decline in population. It causes O'Connor to think he'd have to bring in cliche authors in an attempt to bring more population to Halo from other SciFi fanbases. That's all Bear is; a cliche author. Basically, I blame the CoD fanbase of which are douchebags. :iamafag:
