Rockstar never talk about the games at games conventions and they never show them off (like E3 or PAX for example). They are unique in that sense that, they reply on hype and any direct marketing they do. Which trust me, will ramp up to release.

Which I can understand. But I think they might be doing it a little too much this time. Remember when they would release just tiny snippets of stuff from GTA IV before it came out? Like the first teaser. People were foaming over the improved lighting and the RAGE engine. I just think they should do little stuff like that every once in awhile instead of a handful of screenshots after a year.
GTA 4 had quite a lot of publicity...
I think I know what you mean though, more teaser elements rather than a long wait and then a bit dump of info/trailers/screenshots etc.
GTA 5 is in the new addition of Game Informer. Lots of new information.
3 protagonists

You play as 3 people basically, with diverse stories and backgrounds, and over the game they come together and collaborate on certain missons. In these missions at certian points, you will be given the opportunity to select which char you want to use. So perhaps after cracking a safe in a bank job with char 1, you switch to char 2 whos at the main door just as police storm in and you can start the gun fight.
- Heists
- Dynamic Missions (you find a car broken down in the forest, you could simply drive past and ignore, or perhaps you try to help and that person then tries to rob you at gun point)
- Scuba diving
- More interactive pedestrians
After reading the article, I cannot wait for GTA 5. A bit more info
28 screenshots, mostly new, some old: http://translate.google.pl/translate...rosto-z-gry%2F
Yeah those are from Game Informer for magazine
Surprised they're going back to San Andreas. Figured they'd revisit Vice City.
Dan Houser (top dude at Rockstar) has said that they felt they havent finished in the LA area. Even though they've done San Andreas, LA Noire and Midnight Club LA.
He also feels LA is such a diverse area which really suits a game as it provides different areas all within a somewhat small location. Although the new GTA is bigger than GTA 4, Red Dead Redemption and San Andreas combined. I would love to see Vice City again for sure, perhaps the next one?
Maybe we'll see VC in 5? When they say "bigger" they may not be talking explicitly about the actual game world size though...
