I'm betting Halo: Reach beta deployment (or first news of when the beta deployment will be) is going to be Bungie's Valentine's Day present to us.
I don't expect much Reach news until then.
I was hoping for a little christmas present for Bungie to do with Reach, we can wish right :allears:
The leaked screens do get me excited but they look mid-alpha stages so alot of this stuff could be very different by the time we get to play it.
Even though I have the beta key to this the more I look at these pics the more I'd want to have this game on PC. I bet it would work really well, maybe better than on Xbox, assuming the pics aren't fake and we're talking about a more tactical and teamwork-based shooter.
The halo games are slowly getting a pc based game look to them.
AFAIK Reach is still early in development. If the images are real, nobody should believe anything shown in them, besides the fact that the game is coming along. Everything is subject to change and anyone to pass judgement on the game because of these shots is a fucking moron.
Being a community of mod developers that tend to take our hobby a little TOO seriously sometimes, this SHOULD be common sense.
Still, everything should be taken with a grain of salt.
Think about it, they seem to be experimenting with perks. What if the perks turned out to be useless, or break gameplay somehow? What if, in response to that, they cut perks entirely? Hell, what if the concept of perks in Halo was simply fan speculation that started with a rumor and snowballed entirely from there, and is yet accepted as fact?
Well, everyone who looked at these images and read those posts would be disappointed when they get an official update detailing game features and the perks are missing. This would cause an unnecessary negative reaction from the fan base, because they didn't stop to think, "Wait, this is a leak of a game in development. Everything here might not be there later."
