"Modern Maps" By Btd69

May as well make a nice thread here for my maps, all of which are based on the modern 'theme' as most of you should know :P So far 1 BSP is done, and I have begun the second. I will update each description as they get further completed. Any contributions such as map designs are greatly appreciated.. I don't have the greatest imagination :P

Dusted
Originally set for Counter Strike: Source, this map is a smaller variant of de_dust2. It is a symmetrical map, with heavy close-quaters fighting, as well as room for snipers to get their ends away. Status: Modelling completed; texturing started.

BlackMarket
An 'arabian' themed map similar to Dusted, it is a larger map with both open and enclosed areas, allowing for alot of action. Being non-symmetrical with open bases on either end should make for some intense CTF as well as Slayer matches. Status: Modelling in progress.

Looking good, have you tried to put it ingame yet?

I've run around Dusted, yes.

I really like this bsp, I can't wait to see it textured and lit.

But you haven't seen BlackMarket, no one has :P I've managed to keep it under wraps :)

i donno why, but that tower thing on the top-left corner pictrure looks like those hills for Super Mario World. o.O

Yea.

Maybe like in CS:S the cs_office map.

Personally I love how you put detail into the sand. A lot of games just have flatish ground. but your map looks like the wind has been blowing around the sand. gj!

Now make sure your sand skin actually looks like sand ;) I remember Katarn showing me one he made about 2 years ago...

Haven't played F.E.A.R .. but get me some images of the map, and of cs_office, and i'll see what I can do :)
