i already have a monitor..:) EDIT: it's actually $1,707 but with Tax it's $1,900

Why anybody would post a thread AFTER they bought the computer is beyond me.

because i can.:D i've already posted in the digital storm forums and made sure to get the right specs but i'm just posting cuz i'm proud of my computer :D it's gonna be alot better than my computer now...

you could've built the thing for a little over half of what you spent.

Processor: Costs to much compared to the Q6600 for a single .1 worth of GHz.
Motherboard: The 780i chipset is horribly buggy, good luck with that...

You should have posted specs here, and you should have just built your own computer instead of buying one...

Yeesh. It's better than my computer, but still... seems overpriced for standard-looking stuff.

Look at the stats for my computer. I got all that for 2000. Built it myself.

e: other than the 750gb storage drive, and the 15 inch dell monitor, but that thing was 17 anyways...meh, i got rid of it, stupid fucking block of a monitor.

well i get a 3 year Parts and Labor warranty so thats kinda worth it :D

Most of the time you get at least 3 year warranties with all the components for no extra charge when building your own PC.

You basically pwned yourself. No use bitching to him anymore, though, it's already been done.

I've seen cheaper pre built PC's cheaper than that you know, and I ain't talking about IBUYPOWER or those other sites.

My bro is getting a Phenom, 4GB and 9800 GTX...for $1200...so it's better than yours and a lot cheaper. Also, your power supply is weak.

Processor: It's the new 45nm core, it's worth it since it's much easier to overclock, runs cooler, and will probably last longer.
Motherboard: Only really buggy when over clocking, other than that it's fine.
Memory: 3GB of ram doesn't go well with most comps, 4GB he would need a 64bit OS.
Video Card: Yes, you could of gotten much better.

Paint you really should of listened to us and just bought all the separate pieces and put it together yourself. Now you have a moderately good computer that has a high end price. But you could of made it high end had you not bought it prebuilt. I don't think there was a single person on this forum that said you should get a prebuilt pc, but that you should built your own. I really can't say anything else besides that was just flat out stupid.

lol ok. well not much i can do about i now.. :\ but my bro bought a comp from here and they have great customer service.. so i'll just have to live with my choices lol.. at least i'll be able to play just about any game i want.. so i'm happy:D

I paid 1600 USD for mine. That was before the prices of all the components went down. Now it would be around 1200. Mine could outdo yours if I oc'd a few components.. You got screwed over man. I agree with everyone else when it comes to the fact you didn't listen to them. :eyesroll:

Unless you want a laptop, there ain't no good reason to buy a pre-built computer as a gaming rig. Order online and build it on your own. But the damage has been done, so yeah.

Come to think of it, I could get an ASUS laptop directly from Taiwan with an 8800M GTX video card for less than the $1900 USD that paintballakid paid...LOL. As for the specs, I could easily build that for just over $1000 Canadian. It's a solid rig and will perform well in games, but it's certainly not the best, especially at its price.

IMO, it's not really about the price that makes me laugh at him for buying a prebuilt computer. It's that he ain't man enough (or tech-literate enough) to DIY.

No, you have no fucking idea. Corsair power supplies are pretty damn good, and I'm sure that that one will have no problem what so ever with his system.

You -rep me because you have no clue whatsoever? TheGhost is getting a 1200Watt supply...yeah I must be wrong...because apparently TheGhost has no fucking idea what he is doing when building his rigs.

The brand doesn't show how powerful it is. If the PSU is made by a quality brand you can only be sure that it won't surge, the Ampere on the rails are stable and that you are going to get the wattage you expect from even idle load.
