As you all know, gears of war 2 is due for release November 3rd (USA) and Epic has made some really awesome and new changes.

Holy shit, those new lancer sound effects are great.

I flipped out when I saw gameplay. I just went and pre ordered it.

Yeah Lancer sounds more GRRRRRRRRRR. I love seeing people beat the shit out of one another :awesome:

Some of those gameplay ideas actually seem really dynamic to me, but I never liked the gears of war 'gray-black-gray-black-red' atmosphere, or the camera set up. I'm going to have to try this regardless though.

The first Gears wasn't really that appealing to me, but I think I'll pick this one up. It looks fucking awesome.

Here's the deal with playing Gears for the first time. You're probably not going to like it too much, especially with the MP, you're going to get owned and find it boring. Once you get decent at it, you realize how great the game is you start playing it constantly. It gets really addicting and fun from then on, its even better when you have friends that play it.

I love the MP omg so many good times with my sniper...

That may be, but I just know that when I played it, every game was extremely laggy, and I remember unloading a full Lancer clip into a guy (while he was down), him getting up, and hitting me with the pistol one time while I was at full health, and I died. I was done with the game forever after that.

There is lag, but I haven't really had any games where the lag is to the point of affecting gameplay gravely. Unless of course, I'm playing with my friends with horrendous connections. :eek: There is also a rather big problem with Gears MP in this area... host advantage. Basically the host's bullets reaches where he shot instantly, so person with bad connection+host=very bad idea. :lol:

You were playing the gametype execution. In execution, you have to curb stomp them, hit them, or point blank shotgun headshot them to kill them.

He probably did a two pistol shot+beat down on you, you need to watch out for that.

Sound like you were kind of quick to judge it. You should really consider giving Gears a second chance. ;)

I know it wasn't execution, I got kills before that. I'm pretty sure it was just bad lag, and yes I was quick to judge, I totally realized that, but it just pissed me off enough to say "fuck it" and move on to something else.

The only gametype you can revive yourself in is execution. :rolleyes:

His dude picked him up. I still unloaded a full clip into him while he was down, before his buddy ressed him. Regardless, it was a laggy game, doesn't really matter :P.

Oh... I hate when that happens. :p

Annex is better then execution becuase it lasts as long as you want and you can respawn.
