I like the smg, also before anyone mentions it, I do not find the handles important to be made less boxy as the hands cover them and they are not even seen in fp, I think it actually saves a lot of polies.

ICEE, no. NO. From my experience, if your handle has more than 8 sides, you're wasting time. Boxes look fine. Just look at halo 1, 2, and 3. and a bunch of other games.
Keep the handle.

I almost always pay attention to making my handles have a decent number of sides. Depending on their distance from the viewer, they can greatly affect the smoothing and overall finish of your model. It's a grip, and it should look like something you can grab.

The ground needs more detail, because it looks bad with the sides and top having detail and the bottom not having any.

You could possibly use an opacity map to add some type of grating to the floor + save polys. I'm not particularly liking the panels on the walls and ceiling, It just doesn't really match with the style of the door imo. As for those little handle-like things near the floor, they look pretty good but I dont really see what practical use they have. I know thats really nit-picky, but for things such as hallways, especially industrial type ones, things seem to flow better when everything seems to have some type of purpose.

Also for floor detail, add the grates like Corn said. But put some pipes under it.

Ohhh, k well that makes sense then. And yeah, something under the grate. pipes are a little over done, but thats up to you. Maybe some different style lights under there, some type of power box, etc.

Anyone know how to repair or get back a old file of a model that is corrupt? I was doing a weapon and it was almost done.. but my autobacks and my saved files of yesterday became corrupt. :(
I hate it when I have to start over. :|

i've never been able to recover a corrupt file. Save all files in at least two locations. I save in about 5 (paranoid as hell).

when ever i get a corrupt file i just say eh it wasnt important because my max files that went corrupt werent even close to important except for that one max file with all my bipeds in posing for rendering, made me pissed :ehhh:

Well gravlifts and (maybe) shield doors, wont work properly in Halo. Such as the distance to launch you, or how fast.

Yeah, I misread your post.
It's still up to him, and while gravlifts don't work in CE they can easily be replaced with ladders or teleporters. Plus, modeling an entire map the complexity of Guardian is a pretty big accomplishment, whether or not it goes ingame.
