What is Flock?
Flock is a browser. The people here at Flock are committed to building a browser unlike anything you’ve ever experienced before; because we start by focusing on user needs. We take pride in solving for common behaviors on the Web that seem clunky today, and will seem ridiculous tomorrow. We’re taking you there.
We’re focused on keeping you close and better connected to the people, places and things you love, more informed about the topics that turn you on, and smiling about the way it all comes together. We love nothing more than hearing from users who didn’t know they were experiencing ‘conventional browser fatigue’ until they’ve downloaded Flock..and voila. Their lives get that much better.
We're big fans of the many interesting and innovative sites and services that continue to emerge to keep our online lives interesting. We also share a common vision that your browser should do much more than just get you to where you want to go. It should make sure you don’t miss out on things that are important to you and help you break down any barrier to easily share, publish, discover and communicate, so that you can enjoy the web to the fullest extent possible.
If you’re not sold yet, download Flock and get ready to meet your new favorite browser.
Here are some pics. I gave it a test run and its actually not that bad :)
This is the beginning tutorial:
This is the Browser itself [looks a lot more organized then firefox imo]:

As you see here, it detects feeds and such on pages:

My Review:
In my opinion, this is a great browser. I imported my bookmarks with no problems and all my bookmarks are in the same order I put them in. There could be more theme development, but other then that, it looks pretty awesome. Its mainly used for social networks such as Myspace, Facebook, Digg, Blogspot, and a lot more, including forums. Although this is the beginning, I see a great future for this browser.

Let's check it out.
whoa version 2 and I didn't know about that?
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
Its pretty awesome, I haven't completely experimented with it yet.
Here is what happens when you log into a social network. It saves the cookies and throws it right in the sidebar. So you are pretty much on Myspace, Facebook, Youtube, etc, without being on it.

Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I'm already on myspace, facebook, and youtube enough. I don't need to be on it when I'm not on it.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I have been using it for months.
Its fantastic to wake up and have all of your shit presented to you.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
Downloaded, so far it's pretty good. I like the feature that lets you have your myspace and facebook people on the side.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I don't like it: makes me go on it when I don't want to...*deletes feeds*

I'm expecting something in the near future "WHAT THE FLOCK?!" when an error or something happens or as a name of an article about this.
I called it first.

Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
Looks pretty cool, I'll give it a download.

Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
It's only a matter of time before this feature is recreated in Firefox, if it hasn't already, much like how the "Paste and Go" feature was recreated (copied from Chrome).
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I like it. The only complaint I have is that it currently does not save your tabs when you exit like it does in FireFox.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
For some reason it doesn't like flash player, because it isn't working for me.

Chrome wasn't the origin of this you know...

Works fine for me...

Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
The default theme is horrible :gonk:
Nice idea though, I may give it a try.

YOU'RE WELCOME
Yeah this browser is totally cool; fun shit, but I don't have much use for it.

Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I don't like it, it's interface is way too cluttered and is an information overload. I much prefer firefox, as I have customized it to be just the way I like it. When I have the time, I may go through the effort of adding all the Firefox add-ons I have (why doesn't it do this by default? It supports them..), until then I'll stick with firefox.

I'm using Ubuntu and I do not have the ability to save tabs with this application and Flash is being stubborn. So FireFox for Youtube. It starts up slower then FF and is more cluttered but I like the way it's organized.

Ewww... Ubuntu... Why would you do that when you could be using a Multi-Billion dollar corporations OS? :awesome:

Because that Multi-Billion dollar corporation's OS failed on two partitions of my hard drive just 1 month after the other. Brand new WD HDD too. Ubuntu isn't that bad once you learn the jargon and learning that the command line is your best friend. Where is Admiral Bacon when you need him? He's good with this kind of thing.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
Ubuntu is fine. I have it on one of my partitions I think.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I used to be fucked with it. Long story. I had something to do with, I reinstalled the Ubuntu Live disk over the Backed Up installation [w/no boot disk, fucking compaq]

I almost like Ubuntu more than I like XP. The features are limited compared to it, but it's just a better layed out OS.
Also, somehow the flash player fixed itself. Which is nice.

Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
looks like any other browser except it detects feeds and certain websites. meh
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
You'd care if it uses hell of a lot less memory...
which it doesn't.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I noticed that it uses about the same amount of resources as FireFox...in Ubuntu anyways.
-
Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
Yeah, I dual boot ubuntu with vista, but I haven't been on it lately, because it's a real bitch to get the resolution in xorg.conf
Anyway, I'm liking Flock
+1

Re: Flock - Powered by Mozilla
I was liking it for a little bit, then its just like, wtf do I need all this shit for? Not only that, but its a pain in the ass when I have little message things pop up for new messages when im trying to watch porn or w.e
