the Level Arbiter-Oracle

is it possible to keep an empty energy sword all the way to the end of the level Arbiter and still be able to "use" it on the Oracle? Can someone try that?

The reason i'm asking this is because in Halo 2 Xbox, this was a glitch. If you saved a depleted energy sword (indicator reads 0 and the sword is "invisible") on Arbiter and continued onto Oracle with the same depleted sword, it is possible to deal the same damage and effects even though it is empty.

EDIT: I don't have Windows Vista, the upgrade yet, or H2V. I just know that H2X has that glitch. Can someone try it and if it works make a video mb?

If it was a popular glitch, then I believe bungie may have fixed it, but try it yourself and find out for sure before believing me.

Bungie stated in Previous updates that they would not touch single player as much as they can. Meaning, they'd leave in the rocket/sword launch, and all of the other nifty things you could think of that made exploring a campaign map fun.

From there, it was pretty much Hired Gun's choice to do what they wanted to.

no it does not keep the weapon, because it automatically switches to the scenarios starting weapon

No it doesn't. If you complete the level before a cutscene then you keep you same weapons. It's not like Halo 1.

What do u mean? So you can't complete the level after a cutscene, you can complete the level after a cutscene, you can't complete the level before a cutscene, or do i just complete the level arbiter and still just have the same weapons (Plasma Rifle and a depleted energy sword) in the next continuing level (the Oracle)?

I wonder if anyone who has H2V tried it yet.

Just test different things. I don't know exactly what would work, as I haven't done much. Everytime I go to mess with SP campaign I never pay attention to my weapons, I just get what I'm good with and beat the level.

I'll give it a try tomorrow morning and post the results.
Right now, I'm just checkinfg a couple sites and goig to sleep.

Sentinel gun doesn't register in cut scenes. Get the sentinel gun and the sword.

It works!
I think I had either the Carbine rifle or teh sentinel beam when I switched levels.

so can you make a video of having the glitch infinite ammo sword on the levels Arbiter through Oracle? Like right before Arbiter ends, and making sure you have a Carbine or Sentinel Beam and the Sword and skipping the cut scene, then going onto Oracle demonstrating the invisible Energy Sword glitch on a few flood forms.

Maybe later, Fraps is getting all pissy right now.

I believe it also works between Outskirts/Metropolis (Legendary only, since you only encounter sword-carrying Elites on Outskirts at that difficulty).

I'm not sure if it works between Sacred Icon/Quarantine zone, but you can keep weapons between those two levels.

It's for the xbox but it does show that you can empty an energy sword at the end of Arbiter, then begin Oracle with an infinite sword (the indicator is 0 and the blade is invisible but it works).

I do that all the time on the xbox version, however on H2V I'm not sure.

can any one actually try this on H2V (last parts of the level Arbiter through one quarter of Oracle), record it, and put it on youtube? Thanks. I just want to see how you did it, and when the glitch sword is in action.

It works exactly the same way as on H2x, on outskirts, arbiter, delta halo, and sacred icon, grab an energy sword, deplete it, and keep it with you, next level it will have inf ammo. You dont need any special weapon combos for it to work. This works on all difficulty's.

Outskirts: Get outside the level (as if you were going for the blind skull) and find the building with the caved in roof, across from the zanzibar hotel, there will be an energy sword there.

Delta Halo: In the ravine (where cortana says the 'nice places' line) Just follow the river to find an enerfy sword

Actually, if you know how to get OoM and still run through the game, you can find a Sword in one of the damaged buildings by the sniper Jackals.

Well today i was playing the levels sacred icon to the great journey and see what i found.

I had a sword and shotgun from the uprising level, with prety much no ammo in the shotgun and almost no energy left in the sword. I continued to do the high charity level and once i got to the great journey, i started out with the same weapons as on uprising with full ammo and energy.

The glitch does work i was playing a i resumed my checkpoint when i started the game i ended up with my sword and beamrifle in Metropolis. LOL:D I had the fuel rod cannon in the level oracle.

Tried it, it works for me.
