So, I was in my little coder monkey's corner this weekend...

Yes, its the interface to my tag extractor, yes I know it looks kinda fugly but after staring at bright colors all night my eyes kinda needed the break ;p
I made the GUI over the weekend, but I've been coding\debugging the actual tag interface upgrades for Halo 2 for about two weeks (if you discount breaks where I couldn't code for that day due to army stuffs, etc). Currently, the only tag groups that need special postprocessing code that I haven't made or finished yet are the structure_bsp, lightmap, sound and shader, thus they don't appear in the tag listing. The final release won't extract from custom maps, but it will host a map encrypter in case someone makes their own and last but not least a converter to xbox (currently a low priority). A few other nifty little sub-tools may be included if you catch my drift ;).
Tested the render model postprocessing code and it appears to working A-OK:

Sorry to bump but how is this project coming along? I am interested to see if I can extract all the mp level tags so I can use them to build my own maps soon (since some tags were not included).

The main issues are just the shaders. Its not a straight forward process of extracting a shader from a cache file and putting it into a tag file. It has to be aggressively de-postprocessed sort to speak. And thats turning out not to be the easiest thing because it puts some data from its tag references (ie, shader_templates, shader_passes) in its postprocessing data, then it always seems to 'ignore' some fields when postprocessing to a cache file.
Right now I'm just using a default sound tag when extracting as I haven't tried writing the reconstruction code for it but it shouldn't be a problem when I do.
Thats the only thing thats really slowing things down, the damn shaders.
