Glad to be of service. Weird though... even the official servers aren't updated, it's like they made the game-update and spread it then left for a holiday...
Thanks for alerting me Lowsy. We'll have the official download live asap. I apologize for our sloppy delivery (AGAIN!).
Oh, I wish we were on holiday. It's been a very odd month or so for our team. A lot of changes have been made recently in our org. (the bungie thing, new execs, etc.). The end result is basically that we are now on a new project. I wish I had some great news to pass along to you guys about continuing support, but its looking pretty dim at the moment. Please feel free to contact me about issues and i'll forward them to the old boss of the boss of my boss...or something. Maybe someday I'll be able to tell you all about the crazy stuff that has happened.it's like they made the game-update and spread it then left for a holiday...
I'll let you know when the update is up. Thanks for your help Vicky.
You're kidding me, right? Not to scream apocalypse, but support is being dropped already when there's still so many problems with the software? I really hope I'm just blowing this out of proportion, and that support will be there for at least another year or so.
Halo: Custom Edition was never fully supported, and it still received updates and recognition from its developers; it wasn't until recently that Bungie and Gearbox dropped support fully for it, though Gearbox still retains the Halo CE forums on their boards.
Now looking back, I can safely say that this game has been nothing but an endless string of disappointments on both the XBox and the PC. It's like Bungie never even cared.
It's nice(?) to finally know for sure now that this was all nothing more than a ploy to throw something that works "OK", then take the cash and run.
I honestly would have rather never seen this game come to the PC given the state it is in. It has done nothing but disgrace Microsoft and the LIVE service. If I had the option to buy it now, I wouldn't think twice about not buying it, even if I didn't have it for the Xbox. Now, I wish I could get my $50 back that I wasted on a game that is just borderline playable. When the negatives far outweigh the positives of something, there's something miserably wrong.
Now that you mention that there's another project you're working on, if it is in anyway similar to the H2V port, how can you expect for it to do better than this? All that came out of this was a few quick bucks and a horrible reputation for Microsoft, Bungie, Games for Windows LIVE, and any other affiliated companies/services.
Please understand that I am in no way trying to be disrespectful towards you. I know you have little-to-no say in what you are told to do, and all you can do is bend over and take it up the ass from corporate.
Bum,
Thanks for posting back and being honest about the situation. It looks like our worst fears have been realized. This H2V program is not getting the full attention we have been hoping for.
Hey, how about some kind of list of things that were recently updated? I can't find anything that changed, besides the video resolution some people were happy to see (on these boards)
Well, it won't stop me from playing and starting a H2V league (soon). There are regular players in this game and those people are -good-. Or maybe I really am lowsy. Either way I have fun.
Catch ya later...

Ok np. Enough with the updating and stuff, perhaps you've read the letter posted on this forum as well...
I think this game could still have potential if the custom stuff was opened up, and 1 simple thing could help a lot if it would be changed: 'Don't have the custom map? Download it somewhere!' Just like CE. (i won't go into HEK stuff because that's obvious i guess, wasting korns time unlocking stuff whilst you have ready-to-use unlocked versions available).
