Higurashi no Naku Koro ni and case closed. used to wake up at 5:30 to watch case closed on adult swim... really good shows.
Higurashi? Noice. The next in the series, "Umineko no Naku Koro ni" was released. The TV show is a poor adaptation of the visual novel though, so by all means, play the visual novel first. :[ Well... depending on your definition of "poor adaptation". The anime manages to get in most of the uhhh "critical points" but skimps on major character development as well as explanations.
