FFFFFFF [SPOILERS]

For those who don't want a rant and just want to know my question, skip the quoted part.

Fuck the aircraft carrier up the ass, and fuck the lag that comes with it.


So I'm on the very last chapter of the game, having gone through it at 1920x1200 rez @ high/very high with ~25 FPS. I'm feeling pretty good, and despite the linear twist the game is pushing on me, I'm hoping the last chapter makes up for it.

WRONG.

This is seriously the worst ending I've ever experienced. I'm walking in a cramped aircraft carrier that is giving me mysterious lag, down to around ~10 FPS.

Then comes the second-to-final boss.

FUCK IT. FUCK IT ALL.

Even on all low settings, 800x600 rez, I'm getting gradually increasing lag, making me take 15-min quicksave breaks so I can close the game and wait for the cache to clear.

Not to mention its BS throw attack, which seems to arbitrarily kill me or leave me with half health. No guarantees that I'll survive the fall, no matter how I prepare.

Anyhow, I kill that boss and up comes the final boss, which I can use my nukes on.

OH WAIT. SORRY

Can't play. Lag is UNBEARABLE.

This is bullshit. I'm within MINUTES of finishing the game, and it shits all over my computer. What the hell?

TLDR: Does anybody know how to fix the lag I'm getting on the aircraft carrier? I can not play with the lag it's giving me.
