    Big shadows across map??

    Hey guys!

I have a problem and i'd like to know if you guys could help me fix it because i think it is way out of my league. O.K.

When i light my level with any other setting than checkerboard I get these huge shadows that cover half (or more) of my map. They start near my cliffs and extend onto my ground. I don't know if this matters but im using the coag sky. Can i fix this? I can post pics if necessary.

    Thanks!!!

Actually, it sounds like he using is too low of a lighting setting. Try Medium, that should work. The more polys you have, and the lower the setting, the more of these "huge shadows" (they are really unlit areas) you get.

Yeah, if you want to get an idea of what the map will actually look like with the full lighting, you want to use either Medium or High. Other settings should not be relied on for accurate lighting.
