    Portals hate me

    Well i made like a million portals for my map but i still get the same error, even when add more and more portals

    Portals are greenish blueish:

    No, that is not what it means, it means add more portals, but nothing is happening :-( when i add to much it wont compile

    i've always wondered how someone can manage to even GET lamina faces while modelling.

    Well
    Most likely you have a ton of triangles in that level.
    I think there is a cap, although I am not sure.

    You need to use portals wisely.
    Since they are used to create the Potential Visible Set
    Portals are used in lots of ways when proccessed by tool,
    1. They are used as splitting planes for the Visible BSP
    2. They are used to calculate what clusters you can see from another cluster.
    I will give you some general rules to place them..
    Maybe someone else can help out with there ideas in a later post.

    1. Use portals to enclose parts of the level that are hidden behind other geometry.
    2. Use portals to enclose geometry that has a lot of triangles. i.e. Bases
