stop being nvidia fanboys, you losers, because ati is coming back with some good cards whlist you're wasting your money. I also read a review that stated that the hd3870 actually runs better on an nvidia SLI mobo, so hows that for awesome?

Lol getting pissy over a video card. It does well for what it is, a midrange card. Its a shame they are getting price gouged so hard though.

Anything over 30 FPS is fluid, and a five frame rate difference is...well, nothing to talk about, really.

I'd also prefer a real review. :/ It's just sad that it's taken them over a year to try and come out to the equivalent of the old 8800GTS only to have the revised 8800GTS be infintely better.

Yeah, sorry WoL, I used to be behind AMD as well, but price vs. performance is ridiculous for them, especially when nVidia is doing it better and faster.

price vs performance, you're getting a better deal if you get an 8800 gts. But, I suppose if you really have to be a whore and get the very best graphics card possible you could get an ATI (or AMD whatev) and cry a month later when it isn't the best anymore.

They actually still aren't. The 8800GT still out-performs all of their new cards. The HD3870 is the closest thing AMD has that can compete with it, and it will sell because of the scarcity with the 8800GT (not that scarce at all; all I had to do was wait a few days before it restocked and then I ordered).

ATI has no high end card right now, and the 8800GTX has been unchallanged for over a year now.

That is going to change very soon, if only for two months.
