It was originally a best-buy or Costco return, with a cracked screen and bent cd drive. A friend bought a storage unit full of electronics from someone who contracts with department stores for their returns, and I helped him repair and sell some of it. Part of my payment was this laptop and flatscreen monitor. I took out the cracked screen to see the serial number, and I'm yet to fork out $180 for a new screen. The previous owner was a fancy hair stylist - she had an interesting portfolio (promptly wiped clean out of respect for her privacy)
