Please Help Me. Controller Issues.

I decided to create an account. here, because I cannot find help anywhere else. I just wanted to see if you could help me. I have Halo 2 Vista and I just bought a XBOX 1 Controller with the USB Converter. I downloaded the XBCDv107 driver also. The controller is recognized, but all of the buttons are jumbled up. "A" does not respond and everything is just mixed around.
I have seen the Shaunington video and I have e-mailed him before coming here, but I did not receive a response.
Can you please guide me through the process of getting my regular XBOX controller functioning properly please? You're the best guys. Thanks a million

Reconfigure your keys in-game. There is a controller setup in the user guide of the game.

Also, when using XBCD just map them to the keyboard; Install the XBCD drivers but do not use the utility. I would use something like...What is the name; it escapes me at the moment.
