Building a new ship.
The design is blatantly stolen from a ship I saw on garrysmod.org with a few minor personalisation's (to reduce props and my own aesthetics). This baby is just to get to grips with the new SBMP parts as well as try out some new building techniques I've heard good reports on. I'll post my results (hopefully with a video) when I'm done.
It's actually about the same size as my Enterprise class Mega-Freighter I made back in January (haven't really done much with it since then either :X), Though not nearly as bulky and IMO much better (I'll go back and re-do the Enterprise some other time and make use of the awesome new SBMP pieces that weren't around back then)

Usually, I would weld everything to everything, throw on copious amounts of hoverballs (but not more than 10 because of most server's restrictions), a few max power'd thrusters and that would do me. The issue with that is sometimes it fucks around (spazz's out even when their all no-colided) and is really slow.
On this one, I'll get one prop that will be my master block (probably a cube), set it's weight to a fuck load, weld everything to that block only and as I understand it, that will make the whole ship more stable (welds are weird in garrysmod). Then I apply all my thrusters and hoverballs to it (and I increase the weight of the thrusters, because I understand that actually makes them exert more force), make gravity not effect it (so it's not too heavy for my hoverballs to hold) and that should work. Fingers crossed. :X
