Hey everyone! We've been keeping this secret for a good amount of time now but it's finally time to spill the beans. A few months ago Dane and myself started talking about his map Retina and I offered to help him get it in game. It's been a hell of a learning experience for me and Dane but the map is finally done and ready to be sent out for beta testing.
I'm afraid that at the moment I can't post any in game screen shots since they come out with tons of graphical artifacts but we can give you some of the older renders that Dane made for the map:
Hopefully within a few hours Dane will post some new ingame screenshots. We highly recommend that you use the bloom mod with this map. For such high res textures I am actually surprised that it runs so well.
I've tested the gameplay with some friends from school and with the weapons set up in their current configuration they really liked it. The map is small and simple and they said that it played a lot like Wizard from Halo PC. However, you guys are the final judges of the map. What we would like from you guys is just some comments about gameplay because the shaders and such are still fairly rough at the moment. This may be a public beta but it still is fairly rough and needs quite a bit of work before release.
