I don't know about you nvidia fags, but you can force anisotropy through the Catalyst drivers. When I tried it, I got massive artifacts everywhere, but I guess that could have been because I had a not too powerful radeon x1600 then :\
You can force AF, not AA.
Anistropic Filtering? I am stupid and I dont even know what that is but am I right? If so, what does it do? My 64 emulator has it.
I would say it basically enhances the quality of textures over distance, also http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anisotropic_filtering
