Why not try it and find out. I am going to put this post in CE general talk, so whiplash can have the luxery of moderating it.
It works for PC also, I used to use the Bathroom Security's openings on Halo PC, but I didn't want to press ESC everytime I load Halo so I -novideo'd it =)
As long as it doesnt check file size/meta like it does with maps, should work fine.

Halo PC and CE look for and play bungie.bik, gearbox.bik, and mgs.bik in that order before the UI is loaded. Note that they won't play if init.txt is present in Halo (CE)'s root folder.
