On XP, I believe there is a way to save the Exception Data of which it notoriously Gathers. Try clicking the "View Details" linkish looking thing (IIRC) and see if it lets you.

On Vista its a little different. This difference actually made developing hacks like Yelo more time consuming to debug on my end as the amount of steps involved.
    1) Control Panel->Problem Reports and Solutions->View problem history
    2) Find HaloCE (or it may be the name of the dll, dx3d9.dll or w/e)
    3) Right click->View problem details.
    4) Copy to clipboard & pasta in your post
    5) ???
    6) Fix?
    7) Deficit

How do I get system info like that?

Re: OpenSauce and Halo CE Crashing *PLEASE TEST FOR FEEDBACK*

I forgot to mention that mine had no xfire, and works fine without OS.

    Exception code:
    Code:
    Problem signature
    Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
    Application Name: haloce.exe
    Application Version: 1.0.7.615
    Application Timestamp: 486d1dce
    Fault Module Name: haloce.exe
    Fault Module Version: 1.0.7.615
    Fault Module Timestamp: 486d1dce
    Exception Code: c0000005
    Exception Offset: 000acbe0
    OS Version: 6.0.6001.2.1.0.768.3
    Locale ID: 1033
I checked the other exception errors, and the details match exactly. Whatever it is, it's in that code. :/

You are using the wrong game version, you must use 1.08.

    Omfg.....

I had 1.08 installed a while back, but then for machinima purposes I reverted it all to 1.07. I went through all the trouble of finding that damn mini-image, and it didn't even occur to me that 1.08 DOESN'T NEED A CD. -_- Fuck my life.

Back in a bit with a test with 1.08.

For those of you using version changer, are you absolutely sure that you are using the 1.08 exe, not the 1.04 or 1.07 one? Sure, you can play 1.08 servers using the version changer and an out of date exe, but OS will still crash. You would need to do it backwards.
