    It's a nice exercise but the entire thing is too flat to really make use of the normal map :\

    i disagree. he fulfilled the intent of the exercise, to give surface detail and insets, etc, to a very low poly model.

    next time, though, please get at least 800x600 renders.

    I don't disagree that he did that, I just meant that it was all relatively flat. He could have had deeper insets and different shapes. Guess I'm really just arguing with the design. He did well for his first time making a sub-d model.

    Nicly detailed magnum. It would make the bottom attachment (Laser sight) have a more logical attachment system instead of it looking like its glued onto the barrel.
