Cant change tf2 settings.

Okay, so steam and tf2 fucking hate me.
Now, I fixed my achievement problem by deleting that part in my files, and having it fix itself. Now, I cant fix the settings. I change something, and then when I press apply, its right back up to where it was.

I am trying to put my textures to low and it keeps putting it back on high.. please help.

Can you check if the steam files are selected as read-only?

Add "-autoconfig" w/o the quotes in the Set Launch Options dialog box (right click on TF2> Properties> General> SLO...) and run the game, IIRC it should reset your game settings back to its original/default values.

I know it might not help but, you can always figure out the launch options to change texture quality. I'm sure there is one as there is with screen width and heigh ( -w 1680 -h 1050 ).

I need to put the models down, and that requires sv_cheats 1

and anyways, I just uninstalled and reinstalled the fucker and now it works fine.
