Exclamation Problem with OGGVorbis Libraries on Halomaps.org RESOLVED

OK, ladies and gentlemen. I have found a set of GOOD OGG Vorbis libraries that do not cause Halo CE to crash when playing samples greater than two seconds long in a sound looping file. I strongly urge everyone to upgrade to the latest Vorbis libraries that can be found here.

I have tested these with custom bird samples used in my map, Blood Creek RC3, and have found that the stock Halo OGG Vorbis libraries do not cause crashing but cause encoding glitches, while the ones on Dennis' site do cause crashing glitches but do not cause encoding issues. Now you can have your cake and eat it too.

To the Administrators: You might want to host this file directly, as third party sites like FileFront can contain popup ads or other form of unwanted advertising, not to mention that you won't have to rely on my account to house the files.

I hope you find these useful to your mapping needs. If your map includes samples greater than two seconds long in a loop file, I encourage you to drop the four DLLs in with your map when you submit it somewhere like Halomaps and explain why they're there so Dennis or someone else doesn't remove them. If you're hosting the map yourself, that's fine too. I just suggest including these four DLLs to avoid bug reports that are falsely stated.

I believe I have pointed this out about ~2 months ago, nothing ever came of it.
Regardless, I believe the admins are well-aware.

Wait, are you saying that the OGG libraries on Halomaps didn't work?

    These? http://hce.halomaps.org/index.cfm?fid=1632

That would be odd, because they worked at least a year ago.

e: Wait a second, these caused Halo CE to crash? They worked fine with my main menu music and when I made some loops for a Halo Wars FPS I envisioned. Even the original libraries didn't cause CE to crash. They just made the game sound shitty when the music played back.

The encoder I submitted to Halomaps.org was the most recent at the time, v1.1.2. If anyone is having issues with that encoder, try the new version.

I used this fix when I was encoding the rickroll loop sound file for the rickroll map ages ago. I used whatever version of the library was the latest version back then.

Some people still had issues where having EAX enabled would cause the map to crash Halo, but to be honest, I was probably doing something wrong.
