Frankly I think the fake mainmenu looks better than the real one.
At the end of the day, it's just a videogame. Nothing of value was gained or lost from this leak. I don't see it as a security problem anyone needs to go out of their way to solve with radio isotope signatures or retinal scans.
Sure, Microsoft's PR cycle for Reach just took a slight hit, because they can no longer dole out every measured morsel of information leading up to the release in order to generate maximum hype and secure optimal levels of pre-orders. Boo hoo for them.
And sure, if any of this leaked stuff gets cut, Bungie will be held accountable by fanboys for some impassioned, poorly thought-out reason or another. But ultimately, this information is unimportant.
Its been proven he didnt release them, he just stole them and bashed on his name, in paint.
Its a big problem. Companies dont want their "trade secrets" shown, they dont want other companie seeing and idea, then bashing it out quicker and releasing it before Reach comes out. It HAS happened in the past many times, therefore its a real threat.
People might see these shots, and be like "oh that looks crap, I'm not buying". Some people are that stupid.
Then again people do say, any publicity is good publicity.
Im curious when the first official mentioning of this is announced because so far all bungie has done was banned anyone even mentioning the leak and made a mock of it in the update.
And even that wasn't really talking about it more of "excuse us while we clean the mess in the kitchen"
