Halo: Evolutions

I just got my copy in the mail today, about to start reading the stories inside.

Anyone else here buy it? Remember, spoiler tags!

On a side note, I'm interested to see how Frankie's writing pans out. Assuming it is his writing (editor help excluded) and not just his idea.

Yes. I posted this in Tech Talk. "Games, gadgets, ...". Maybe it is time to merge H2V, H3, and ODST into a Halo sub-forum? CE should be a sibling forum still though. With Reach I'm sure we'll see a similar system in terms of variant files (game types, maps, etc) and media (films, screens, etc) so a generic system could be used for both H3/ODST and later Reach for the "release" subforum

Not really. It is mostly just some stories that wrap around some of the more open ended aspects of the Halo-verse. The first story is about a Spartan who gets recruited and gets the whole upgrade. Without saying much though, they totally leave a big question mark at the end of the story. It was made obvious the question wasn't something to be over looked either

i think it had something to do with the advances of the engine for HL2 ep 2 and it's siblings.

still source but the updated engine was different, and thus was a bit different to mod.
was a long time ago we last discussed this so dont take it as gospel.

The halo universe is a pretty cool one, but with the over commercialization of it i just dont have the interest to keep dwelving into it past the games :/
i still havnt played H3.
