A movie killed by its own hype before it even comes out...

    That CGI was pretty bad.

The new 3D technology they went with ain't working for me.

Doesn't look that amazing to me tbqh

I'll reserve proper judgment until it's released, but this looks more to me like a good-but-not-great science fantasy movie with some above-average but not cutting-edge CG. It certainly does not look like it will revolutionize the landscape of filmmaking.

Agreed. It looks cool, but nothing special. However, I'll wait until it comes out to make any judgments.

    Last Airbender trailer looked better.

    I went there.

Oh, and I've seen both on the big screen, not IMAX or IMAX DIGITAL 3D, but still on the big screen.

This trailer reminded me of Atlantis for some reason.

Major bump time, because I just saw this movie, and holy SHIT. I was a little skeptical, but CGI just passed the uncanny valley. The movie itself is pretty decent, but it's worth going to see it in Digital 3D (please for the love of god go to the best theater you have nearby) just for the visuals. I'm trying to be objective, having just seen it, but I'm fairly confident that I just witnessed the biggest cinematic technical achievement of the past decade.

Also, Sigourney Weaver back in a sci-fi movie. Can't lose there.
