    Forcing Hardware Acceleration/EAX

So, I figured I'd ask here since its the halo CE forum.

I just got an X-Fi extreme gamer sound card, and I know it is capable of EAX 5.0. I looked into halo's audio settings, and found EAX and hardware acceleration in there...but I can't select them. For some strange reason they're grayed out. Anyone know target arguments or config edits to force HA and EAX?

Halo can't sense your hardware/drivers. I have this problem too.

Go to support.creative.com and download ALchemy for your card. It should include settings to force EAX in Halo/Halo CE.

Hey, can you get it so it plays every sound, not leaving out anything?

Yes. Turn on hardware acceleration and EAX with a card that has EAX3.0 or better and the sounds won't cut out.
