Halo CE and Windows 7

I searched, and the only thing I could find was a thread about The Plague having issues with the W7 beta.


I downloaded and installed custom edition, valid CD Key, etc etc.
When I try to run it, it goes no where.
I looked in my task manager and there it was with a 32* next to it.
I am 64 bit. I dont know of any Halo CE 64 bit download and I dont even know if that would solve my problem.

I dont know crap.

So help me out modacity.

if I run it normally it sits on a black screen, no audio, no menu.
My resolution is 1680 by 1050, so its running in a standard 800 by 600.
when I ctrl alt del a white box is taking up like half of the left monitor (dual monitors) the rest is still black.
When I run with desktop composition disabled, it shows the boot splash but stays, and agian no audio.
Same with compatability mode, and admin.

my problem isn't the same as mine doesn't even come up. It loads and then kills.

I think the 1.09 patch was supposed to help with this, it helped me just a tad. I pretty much gave up on running it on my other copy of vista which was 64 bit, halo just doesn't work on it very well.

I would try reinstalling and running it on a lower resolution and settings, that's the only way I got it to work on my other 64 bit pc, and even then I get random crashes and buggy tearing .
