A newer Halo game or some new technology that isn't specific to any game of course
Halo 3/ODST/Reach are all pretty alive still
and now they are probably gonna be more alive than ever considering the jtag for the 360 now.
It doesn't give you as much power as an actual debug kit does though. Eg, you can't perform real time memory changes from a PC
Can we extract .map files with it?
It's been possible to do that for a while now, before the new hack was made public...
You can run modified map files (but you need a modified XEX) using a modded Xbox 360. So if you can transfer them onto the console, common sense tells you that you can transfer (or 'extract' according to you, not a good word choice on your part) them back to your PC.

There is no exporting/extracting tools, for Halo 2 Vista (Ultimate Fail edition).
