Thread: H2V stutter

    H2V stutter

    Hey guys,

I recently got H2V and I'm having problems with it (I know it's a buggy game).
Some MP maps like District and Turf are pretty laggy when walking around (Coag and others are fine), and some of the campaign has it's share of stutter

    My specs are:
    CPU: AMD Phenom II X4 940 3.0Ghz
    RAM: A-DATA 2x2GB DDR2 1066Mhz
    GPU: Sapphire 4870 HD

I'm running the game at 1280x1024 with the highest settings

    Does this make any sense?

No sense at all to me.
    Try updating your drivers?

Have you tried testing each setting, lowering it (and it only) to see if there is any gain? It may be a certain effect, the resolution, or w/e that is the root cause

    OK, this is just great...

I tested some more and the stutter only effects how the ground seems to move.
I opened up fraps and it reports 58-60 fps and a video capture doesn't show the stutter (looks fine).
Strangely enough, the stutter goes away in Windowed Mode.

I forgo to mention my OS: Win7 64-Bit Beta 7100

oh windowed mode is the best thing for h2v graphic errors.
it always seems to fix them.

I have noticed slight stuttering on the mp maps you mentioned, either way I cannot recommend playing games on a Beta OS because that puts your drivers in constant question of fault.

    Re: H2V stutter

I found that my h2v stuttered and lagged after I went past the nvidia 178 drivers, I got something on the bungie.net halo pc section a while ago called "fps limiter". It locks your fps at 30 or whatever you set it to, it helped me with my stuttering.
