Hmm... I've scoured high and low, but I've found no such references to particle effects alphas except for one very vague reference in Masterz's particle effects tutorial.
I'll keep you posted if I find anything. I would recommend making a thread about it in either Modacity's CE section or Halomaps' CE Technical section.

Hey Mobster- Korn is right, we should really put these in wiki articles. However, I don't have the source code for your posts, which would make it infinitely easier to convert to a wiki page. PM me, and maybe you can send me a .txt file or something so I can build a tutorial page on the wiki.

Going to make a dynamic and more extensive version of Ghost's tutorial index here, including all still-working tutorials from the index as well as any new ones I come across. Thanks, Korn. I wasn't sure if quoting it would strip out a layer of code, or whether that only applies to quotes inside quotes. Regardless, I'm working on the page now. Nearly done with the level creation section. Might need to go back in and fix some formatting issues, but at least it will be there and all looking about the same.
Edit: So I've ported the entire thread over to the wiki here. It's not all that pretty, but it's there. Ideally, each tutorial would be its own page, hosted locally on the wiki, much like Firescythe's Aether tutorial. For the moment, however, it looks much like this thread, with links to exterior files. It's a pity the wiki doesn't have spoiler tags- would have made the formatting easier, and made it a little nicer looking. Ah well. Not sure where to go from here. Any suggestions?
