hey mister my animation contest is still open why are you doing this rubbish and not showing the community some love

why don't you love the community?

Basically what Rooster said. I've always had trouble with Grenade animations so I have respect for anything that isn't pure turd - maybe more than I should. The gun's motion seems very uneven; it goes up, then stays, then suddenly goes back, then returns in a fairly rushed manner. It's hard when you've got so few frames to work with but smoothness is really key there. Sometimes I split up motion on individual axis (only Z-axis motion or X-axis rotation on a frame) if I'm having trouble with smooth, natural motion. The hand is pretty fine to be honest - I wouldn't complain much, but you could always use more polish on anything.

The return to the origin is what bothers me the most. You either need to extend the animation to have smoother "recoil" from coming back down or dampen the recoil a bit. I used to have that problem a lot, but ingame it was really irritating when all my animations had a sudden jerk at the end. It's a bad habit to get into. I've found that having movement/rotation that isn't just vertical can help add the sense of recoil without actually having much - I did a sniper rifle set a few days ago that I used that on a lot (I'll post it in due time).

Wasn't my usual style of returning-to-origin actually, I did a lame attempt at the way Bungie did it in the new animation for Reach. It's really weird though, it didn't seem so jolty at the end when I had rendered it, perhaps watching it over and over and over really screws up your view

Reloads are really well-done. Fire animations are boring - I know you can do more than just QUICKLY BACK and slowly return. Ready for the single-handed one could do without the rotation to the left; it's unnecessary and just makes the movement confusing (why is it turned to the left?)

Does the magazine look okay? (Interesting?).

*Waits for people bitch about Halo...* (And I intended to avoid copying the Halo:Reach one, but I think I have gone a bit too much the same. I was going to just steal bits )

The mag is way too thin. Look at bungie's mag, it's quite thick and there's a reason.

actually, if you look every fire animation (including the dual ones) have their own slight differences. The gun goes off to the right when the left barrel fires, and the left when the right barrel fires. Maybe I made it a little too subtle

Actually, if you want to keep the recoil direction consistent with the direction of the force applied, then it should jump right when the right barrel is fired, and left when the left barrel is fired.
