One of my best freinds just got TF2 and he convinced me to start playing it with him and all of a sudden I've fallen in love with the fucking game. What the HELL happened?

I used to despise the game but now I adore it (aside from engineesr and W + RMB class). What all has changed since I first played it (like last year or something?) Because it seems different. Scouts are awesome BTW they seem so much better than before.

Tbh, not much has changed except for the addition of alternate weapons. Yeah, there have been a few balance changes here and there, but if anything, it has only made the game more complex without diluting it (sans MW2's hundreds of unnecessary weapons). Also, you're probably enjoying the nice feature of "weapons that have meaning, not just OMG MP32n-RC2 WITH THIS, THIS, AND THIS BONUS PERK THINGY!1"

I hate profags and the competitive-meta has basically remained unchanged since the medic update (as far as loadouts/class composition goes) to my knowledge.

The demo unlocks were stupid, the WAR unlock was shit, the soldier got a pick which was clearly superior to the shovel, the sniper got his shield, Hudu got official support, etc.
