I got such a boner watching that video freelancer.
also, who remembers halosecrets? or bloodgulch.com?
I MISS 2003.
It's not old. And I know it's not. You guys don't even really know what the trick is, yet you still insist it's old. You're either trolling me (highly likely, considering this is a modding forum, not a tricking forum), or you're totaling overstepping your experience and making total fools of yourselves.
Either way, I know I'm right about this. I've never seen any of you stunting/tricking in the last 5 years, and there is no way the Ghost Froom is more than 5 years old because a major stunt used in its creation, the Ghost Shroom, was first done/created on Blood Gulch in '06. You're under the impression that I'm some random newbie who doesn't know his history. I've been around for quite some time now, doing new stunts (ex.1 + hih attempts reference, ex.2). I know what I'm talking about. I've seen all the old videos (and reuploaded most of them). I've seen the old sites, like ibonk, I've been active for years on HIH, and I've been interacting with influential and veteran trickers for the last 5 years. I'm not bragging here, but I have my credentials. For you to come to me and say, with no evidence/proof, that I'm wrong and that my stunt is old, is like me going up to Chuck Norris saying "You fight bad, I beat your ass." It's fucking backwards.
You have not seen it before unless you were there when I made it or unless someone who was there released footage of it without my permission. You think I'm wrong? Fucking prove it. You show me a Ghost floating on the invisi-barrier on Danger Canyon? Not the same stunt kiddo. You show me a Ghost Platform on the invisi-barrier on Blood Gulch? Not the same stunt kiddo. Don't be fools, swallow your pride and realize you're talking to someone who knows their shit.
I have about 2,500 hours of playing Halo. 80% of which is stunting. How do I get that number? Xfire has me at 2,100 and I have xfire off about 1/3 of the time. See here.
So you don't know this because you don't know my hours.
I haven't taken a trick and done it on a larger scale. For christ's sake, how many times do I have to explain it! It's not a friggin' launch. That last clip there, that Ghost isn't moving, k? It's floating. 150 meters above the map. Inside of the barrier. Yeah? Old? No. There is no other stunt in Halo that is even remotely similar. I can see how you might be confused as it is a trailer, and it's not supposed to be crystal-clear and all, but I don't think you should go around tooting the "it's old" horn unless you really know what the fuck you're talking about. I'm not just doing something old on a larger scale. And I know this because I've been around for long enough to know what the fuck I'm talking about.
Yeah that, it's called T2T. That challenge started back in 2003 and was completed both by MrMonopoli and Duelies in a 2 day period. It's a campaign tricking challenge and is entirely different from The Ghost Froom. It's also a lot more straightforward. Now, let me show you a little something:
See that? Same video right? Guess what, it's uploaded on my channel, h1stunting. Uploaded June 7, 2011. Duelies' video was uploaded June 6, 2011. I knew about this being completed long before you did, and mirror'd the video almost instantly. Yeah bro? You get it? Here, let me enlighten you some more: http://highimpacthalo.org/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=14 That's the Halo 1 Tricking Forum on High Impact Halo, the site where all the trickers met and shared their stuff before it went into cryo. You'll see a lot of the posts there are from a user called -=MaToR=-. That's me. I have 735 posts over at HIH. I joined the site on 10-28-2006. Over 90% of my posts have been in the Halo 1 Tricking & Glitching Section. I helped make T2T possible, I was part of the brainstorming process to make it work.
I'm sure you are all grizzled ancients, but when was the last time you looked into Halo PC multiplayer stunting? Honestly, multiplayer and campaign stunting are two entirely different worlds. Multiplayer stunting is a fairly well distributed amalgamation of many different types of stunts. Whereas campaign stunting is moreso focused on launching with dead-fire grenades - one type of stunt. They're entirely different worlds. In fact, multiplayer halo 1 stunting hasn't been a part of HIH or in the public eye for the last 4 years, arguably. BGT's interest in it and videos regarding it really are all that stand as a monument to it's existence on HIH. For all that you may know about campaign tricking/stunting, the Ghost Froom may be altogether incomprehensible to you. Unless you guys have been following TSM, DS, TLG, +Stunting+, and ES (the greatest halo 1 multiplayer stunting clans over the last 5 years), you have no background whatsoever to base any claims regarding the Ghost Froom as it is a multiplayer stunt.

Perhaps if you weren't:
-calling it something sixty sorts of stupid
-reacting really badly to valid responses to your ineffective attempt at hype-building
-posting a full stunt right off the bat
you'd be getting less antagonistic responses.
Old conversation we had a week ago. Respond to what's relevant and current please.
Froom is actually a very legitimate and good name, if you knew the reasoning to it you'd agree with me. It involves making a Ghost Shroom:
It involves making that float. Hence, Floating Shroom ... Froom.
no, nobody is trolling you. stop acting like such a pompous asshole. yeah the tricks are cool, but youre not the first to do it, and making a claim that youre the best when the reality is that there were some great people into this before you is both ignorant and wrong. i wont deny that youre good at tricking or that youve found some cool stuff, either. like i said, tricking isnt my thing and iv never been into it. that doesnt even matter at this point though, its your fucking attitude thats getting me now. youre not the second coming of christ, so stop acting like it.
what exactly are you doing thats so damn impressive? at this point all i see is a trailer for a stunt video that youre saying youll put out 3 months from now.

How about just making a video of the stunt itself instead of a trailer for a video of the stunt? If you think people are confused about what your Ghost Froom is and are thus calling it old then that would be a pretty good way to convince them otherwise. I don't understand the need for a trailer.
Your biggest problem is that you're coming here with your Ghost Froom trailer, which in itself is a new stunt. No one is saying it's not new and original, however the concept of getting a Ghost half-stuck in the world geometry (in any Halo level, be it Campaign or Multiplayer level) is not a new concept at all. That has been happening for years and years, and people have done different "stunts" with it on different levels to accomplish different things.
TBH, Tower to Tower is probably much harder to accomplish than the Ghost Froom. With the Ghost Froom you probably only need 1/16th of the initial setup time to get started, then all you need is infinite grenades and a bunch of ammo and you can do pretty much whatever you could think of with enough time and practice.
Admittedly, most people here don't really care about stunting since it doesn't really fall into the realm of mapping or modding. A lot of us are code junkies or 2D and 3D artists, our interests in the game vary a pretty huge amount from yours. As I said earlier, this is pretty impressive that you took the time to do it, but it's not that jaw dropping of a stunt as something like T2T or surfing around Death Island via directional falls and slides off different ledges and such.
Also, there are people on Modacity here you are so grizzled and so ancient that they really don't give a damn about stuff like this anymore since they know it's possible via the engine. Lots of people here are actually working for game development companies now, such as BioWare, Ubisoft, and Bungie. We've also lost many members since Halo CE was released to job offerings from Bungie for their work in the game.
Also, I'm not sure if it was Blind or King... Someone in [HIV] clan had upwards of 10,000 Xfire hours logged on Halo CE, not counting all the hours playing Halo PC before CE was released.
