My 470 is quieter than my old 260, and MUCH quieter than my old 8800GT. Subjectivity makes me a happy camper.

The problem is the tiny fan compared to the ones on the GTX 285/480/570/580/590.

One of my 6870's is a hell of a lot louder than the other. And it's the XFX one with one fan. I have to run it at 80% instead of 100% like my MSI Twin Frozr II because it's twice as loud, with one less fan.

You're a fool if you expect a standard GPU fan to not be louder than a specialized GPU cooler.

Yeah, that's the entire point of the Twin Frozr II series cards lmao. Pretty sure the fans on the Frozr are bigger than the reference design as well.
