Yes. I just wish more went to education than unoptimized healthcare and military.

Yeah your military budget is fucking ridiculous in comparison to what your military actually does. US brass is completely retarded. Small but well-trained militaries are the way to go, but then again, those aren't good at maintaining colonial empires.

I'd be willing to bet the majority is being spent on projects that are going to ultimately be shelved and on naval ships. I could probably put some research into this to come up with an accurate assessment, but .

You only have yourselves to blame for that.
The proposed healthcare system strikes me rather similar to how the NHS works in some aspects but the healthcare industry there is too scared of a contender coming in that they feel they have no influence on so they do their best to neuter it as harsh as possible so it's not a contender.
If you didn't demonize social healthcare so much it might not be in such shambles.

One of the biggest problems is that our social welfare is completely mismanaged and exploited. If it were optimized and restructured, which Obamacare was not aiming to do, then I'd be for it. But right now it's inefficient and it a colossal folly of a budget, just like the military budget. I also want to note that the "demonizing social healthcare" is not the sole cause of the country's woes and has not led us to shambles. There is a lot of other shit that's caused that! I just want that clear, but considering how often we chat I know what you mean.

This. Also they are by and large ignorant and uneducated. They actually passed a bill in my state that prevents land transfer taxes on large plots of land. Only two people in the whole state own enough land to be effected by it
