    Video Screws Up

My Halo 2's videoideo completely went crazy, so I reinstalled two times, still same results. Here is an image of it. Please help! There are my pc specs if you need them

    Manufacturer: Home Built
    Processor: AMD Athlon(tm) 64 X2 Dual Core Processor 3800+ (2 CPUs), ~2.1GHz
    Memory: 2046MB RAM
    Hard Drive: 300 GB
Video Card: NVIDIA GeForce 7900 GS
    Monitor: ViewSonic 19"
Sound Card: High Definition Audio Device
    Speakers/Headphones: Logitech 5.1Logitech Premium USB Headset 350
    Keyboard: Logitech G15 Gaming Keyboard
    Mouse: Logitech G5 Laser Mouse
    Mouse Surface:
Operating System: Windows Vista™ Home Premium (6.0, Build 6000) (6000.vista_rtm.061101-2205)

I have the beta drivers for my graphic card from guru3d.com but those work for all the games and Halo 2 did work for awhile. My shadowrun's video is working perfect, only halo 2 screws up...>.>

    Re: Video Screws Up

The same thing happened to me when I tried playing campaign after messing around with my video card's settings a bit. I thought it might have something to do with the fact that I changed some anisotropic and texture filtering settings, so I changed them back to be controlled by the application and it hasn't happened since.

So, try changing the settings in your NVIDIA Control Panel to Application-controlled.

I get the same thing when I change my settings to high. Eventually vertecies start to explode as well.

    Re: Video Screws Up

Someone had a similar problem (both the textures and the exploding verts), and updating their drivers fixed the problem. If that's not the case, Atty says that your graphics card is maybe overheating or damaged. Carl, it's probably the beta drivers you have.

PS, next time you post a large picture in the forums, Carl, make sure to use [shot] tags instead of [img] tags so you don't stretch the page.
