Sunny have you used any of the bloom effects in the sky tag? and have you figured out how to make them work? I've been trying to do that for awhile and had a feeling you would try it as well.
I haven't tried yet, I'll see what I can do.
For adding light to shaders, the shader should be one with an illum name. Look for the light emitting area. The amount should be less than 1, as higher is extremely bright.
