I like the design, but what I don't get is why the battery is taped on.. why is one part makeshift while the rest looks designed? Wouldn't something like that therefore have a battery compartment?

I think he had a story for that, something about how it was connected to a better power source but the source was destroyed so a battery was placed on it in place of it's original source.

If you look, you can see some connectors running in to the right face plate, this was just to add more looks.

hmm did you get that idea from planetside??? Theres a chain blade knife in that... then again theres probably more in other games too. Really reminded me of the planetside chainblade, nice job, looks sick.
