Yes, I am hurrying to do that.
I hope you guys have at least tried to make the sniper rifle a heavy and powerful weapon as it was meant to be. Halo 3 got close with the slower rate of fire due to the recoil.

    Huh?

Bolt movement is is the fire animation. Unless you have a way of diabling animation interpolation, I don't think it's possible to make it better - it starts all the way back in the anim at frame 0 and remains until frame 3 before moving back.

I think you will be happy with what we have then.

Really? it looks like its in the overlay in the betas I have, because the bolt doesnt move back forward until the player stops firing.

Yeah, I'm irritated by it too. If anyone knows how to deactivate interpolation I'd love to know how.

    P.S.

NO, THE H2 ARMS ARE NOT PART OF THE CMT MOD
NO, BLOODGULCH IS NOT PART OF THE CMT MOD
THE LINES ON THE SNIPER'S METAL ARE THE RESULT OF A CUBEMAP, NOT THE SKIN
THE HAND IN THE FIRST PICTURE IS FROM THE THIRD-PERSON MODEL AND WILL HAVE ITS MARKER MOVED OVER

    Stuff that will happen :

-Adding a reticle to the screen bitmap
-Getting a better cubemap for the gun
-Getting a better cubemap for the scope
    -Moving the TP hand marker
-Fixing the color of the compass in FP

    Stuff that may happen :

-Revising the sniper shaders given a general consensus
    -Changing the scanline density

    Stuff that won't happen :

-Editing the model for anything but an extreme problem
-Editing the skin beyond a miniscule adjustment
-Making the scope see-through. (Shader_models don't accept blended alpha, which would mean no smooth fade-out at the sides, which would result in ugliness beyond reason.)

    I like.

My only complaint: Those buttons on the side really stick out. I know they're designed to correspond to different scope settings, but they just look out of place and way too bright, especially when compared to the muted colors of the rest of the gun.

Not sure what I've done different from you, but I feel like mine works pretty well http://s188.photobucket.com/albums/z...onstration.flv

Game lagged at around 5 seconds.

PS: if anyone wants to skin this for me...

Awesome, but is that the only animation you have to show, or did I just miss the rest in an earlier post?

Does the scope work like the Halo 3 scope? It looked like it did in the video.
