And next time you ask your MOM to buy you a video gaming machine, ask for a console like an Xbox 360. At least you can't really go wrong there, as a bonus more and more great PC shooters are available on the 360, i.e. the entire Orange Box source games, Left 4 Dead, etc. When you have a $200 machine running Half-Life 2 at top settings, you can't really complain about not having a keyboard and mouse. I know you can save a lot of money by building your own computer, but to match the X360 or PS3 in performance, you have to spend over $500.
How much did this low-end computer of yours cost anyway? Was it pre-owned?
