    False.

There are tons of modded PC servers out there. You can't see the mod on your end, but it's there in the server. The .map file is different, but you can still play in the server. Teleports that take you on top of levels, inside rocks, etc.

Back when I used to be garbage at Halo I had a BG mod called Glass Gulch... I'm sure you can imagine what it was.

I remember modding over penetration and glass walls for a little fun with BG snipers.

0_o wait, so rebuilding a map (recompiling, not just meta swaps/etc) doesn't make the game break online?

    That seriously surprises me.

Yep. At least that's the way I remember it. Screward's argument still holds no water, however. Every person would still have to have the same map to have access to the HRH content.

If you add a tag (like a wraith projectile) then it will crash when a client interacts with it (like they get blown up by a wraith shot)

Not necessarily, no. A few years ago, when Halo PC modding was still kind of new to most people, I decided that it'd be fun to inject a Pelican into Death Island and then play around with a bunch of stuff which lead to the map having a Pelican in it, as well as many other changes. Every time I played online with that .map file, when everybody else had the non-changed version, we could all still play, and nobody's game crashed. This was both when I was host and when I wasn't. So, I'm assuming that it could be possible for Screward's theory to work, but there might be some other stuff I'm missing.

Though, I do agree with the statement that it should stay in CE, and that people that want to play HRH should get off their ass and get CE to play it.

I'm pretty sure it doesn't; I rebuilt bloodgulch once, by accident, and it wouldn't work online in servers running the stock map.

    Rebuilding maps breaks them.

    Patching with PPF doesn't.
