You should move the motion tracker background into the rest of the HUD and just let the dots appear there without a true background, the completely static motion tracker really degrades the experience.

    Good idea.

So it doesn't perfectly align with the 2d sweeper bitmap. Oh no.

First off, we have something new from our new (absorbed) team member, Nebulon. I figured I'd post this here to see if I could get some more feedback for a Torizo/Chozo statue he modeled. He is already aware that the scale is off:

I don't know if any of you remember Station, but Lightning is reworking it's layout to better suit, well, everything. The gameplay will be much more fluid, now, and the layout should assist in eliminating a lot of chokepoints (whereas the first version used doors to lead to bases which is a big no-no).

None of the modeling in these shots is ripped, just some copied textures (something we were already using), and the orange area, well, use your imagination! ^_^:

Teh Lag has been busy, but the mod itself is almost finished. I'm not going to guess on a "ready date", but it's going to be quite soon. I don't foresee it taking longer than a week for testing to commence.

Can we get a side shot of that model?

    EDIT:

Its a little hard to compare that shot since I can't quite see anything, but in comparison to the reference, the hands on the model seem really bulky. The head doesn't seem right either.

That's the best I can do. I only have renders that he chooses to give me.

Here is a map that Delux has been working on, called "Federation Base Equinox":

The bsp is done, but he told me that it isn't really optimized yet. It had some open-edge errors when he tried to put it in-game, otherwise, I'd have some in-game shots.

Lightning has a version of Phendrana that is ready to test the gameplay on, but hasn't sent it to me yet. I have a feeling that this weekend something magical might happen, however.

The model itself *should* be done.

    To do :

-Somes faces aren't UV properly, will redo.
    -Portalling has to be done.
    -Sceneries are done.
-Shaders need to be fixed ( added some bump mapping )
-Make a Glass texture ( currently it's just a +sky material... the blue faces you see in those renders)

Also Seraph, I fixed the open edges ( ), might send you the map in few hours, if everything goes as I expect.

That Station map, that's from the Metroid Prime Hunters demo isn't it? It looks familiar.

Either way, those maps are looking really good, but yeah, that Chozo statue needs a bit of work.
