She never grabbed the balls either.

    Instead she became one.

You think there's a possibility of having the actual plasma beam? It could be the sniper weapon, instead of having a completely new beam.

    WHAT?

I don't know which Smash Bros. series you played, but Samus has always had punch moves. Case in point, forward A-A-A and forward Smash.

Also, why not just use the sniper from Hunters?

The main mod is based on Metroid Prime 1 and 2. We may eventually do some beams based on Metroid Prime 2, but we wanted to try our hand at some custom beams. Metroid Prime Hunters in all regards was mediocre. I can only recall 3 maps/areas worth recreating, but if we wanted it to be Halo with sniper rifles and pistols and whatnot, we'd just release the maps as is, and wouldn't have started this mod in the first place. We may change it to the Imperialist, mainly because it functions somewhat the same, but it's the same kind of beam, no matter what we call it, so I don't see why it matters.

Also, with it being Halo, we felt we needed a way to have the WEAPON cause a melee, so that's the reason we chose to use the beam cannon instead of punching. I really don't know why you are so adamant about us changing it Pooky, but I assure you, it isn't happening.

It's not that I'm adamant about it being changed, just your ignorant statement really pissed me off.

Sorry I snapped at you though

Wow, down boy. I was in no way saying that Hunters was 'teh l33t' and wanted you to copy everything from it. All I was saying is that there is already a sniper beam in the Metroid universe, why not stay true to it?

To your second post. Uh, if you're trying to say that just because it's Halo, you want to stay true to just using the weapon. Then you're mistaken. I recall a certain punching melee used when holding the Plasma Pistol.

I'm starting to really dislike how the community is treating feedback. If you don't want someones opinion, don't show it to the public. There's no point in e-raging at someone just because they gave you feedback. Not everyone is going to like what you're doing, and frankly we don't have to. Don't make excuses and try to defend yourself, no one was attacking you. We were just simply talking about things that might be plausible or would improve what you were doing.

We can't see what's going on. With a serious lack of updates, and material to look at, how the hell are we supposed to know how awesome it is if we can't see it for ourselves. Going on about how this melee attack is the perfect way to go about this, but then not showing us a sample or something is just silly. It could be the most awesome thing ever. But we won't know until you show us.

I want you to know I don't aim this directly at you. It's just as bad over in the CMT Feedback thread. I understand it's the internet, and no one has to take you seriously. But it would be nice to see everyone mature, and respect everyone else on here. Modacity is a great community, even with it's ups and downs, but quite frankly, there have been a lot of downs lately.

    AND ONE LAST THING!
This mod is still kick ass. I can't wait to play the new map. A few questions though, will you be re-releasing the old map with all the updated stuff? And are the fish just AI that are swimming around, or some kind of animated scenery? I'm leaning towards AI because they showed up on the radar, but I wasn't too sure.

Re: Metroid was once offline, but now it's Online

My post wasn't intended to be hostile, I was just clearing some things up.

The beginning of my post was basically saying that I am trying to stray away from reusing Halo as much as possible. It's been done, the udders are dry, the horse is dead.

I am here to take ideas and apply them to our mod, if they make sense and will make the mod more fun, and overall more playable. I spent 2 hours this morning re-reading feedback from all our threads since the initial release on all the forums I posted on, and gained a lot of understanding from what you players have found in the past and want to see for the future.

I know you guys only have the stuff we release to go by, but please don't cut me short, and assume I don't care what you players have to say. Ultimately, it's the people that play the mod, not that make the mod, that make it a success, and I totally understand that. I hope you will continue to watch our progress and anticipate our release.

Bob, The fish are AI, not animated scenery, you are correct.

You dont have to worry about the fun factor , i can vouch for it , its really fun to play and all the additional things that Seraphim and the team have added really make it sweet and unique, though i have only tested Maridia so far , it was enough when i was filming to keep me ammused and amazed for hours and that was before they added enhancements.

Its worth every little bit of the wait , trust me , it will be sweet when its released.

I was just playing the latest release, and found that the power beam has a bit of gravity. Is that supposed to be there?
